Bi-Lingual Publications

 

Channel Publications, as part of its efforts to support UK manufacturing and service companies in global markets, has developed a strong skills base in foreign language publications, particularly for Far East markets.

Among these have been the annual Japanese-English Directory for the Japan Electronics Business Association (JEBA), an industry-led initiative with a Secretariat within the Exports to Japan Unit of British Trade International.

This publication, of high quality and in full colour, was produced for distribution to buyers and purchasing personnel of Japanese electronics manufacturers in the UK, Europe and Japan.

Channel Publications has worked in a similar role with the Pacific Rim Electronics Business Association, also DTI funded, producing directories in Traditional Chinese and Korean.

 
Channel Publications designs, translates, foreign-language typesets, prints and arranges direct freight where necessary, and in many cases becomes involved in direct marketing to cover costs of these publications.

Another key customer has been the SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers Traders) Industry Forum, for which Channel produced a Japanese and English-language publication covering the set-up and success of this unique collaboration between Japanese, European and US automotive companies to improve standards in the UK. Channel's editorial skills were an essential part of the success of these publications.
